so valentine's indeed can be enjoyed without the usual proper 1-on-1 date. =D
had dinner at a Jap restaurant, Waraku at heeren ytd! man it was good. haha! but it was made even better with the special room the restaurant gave us and the kind waitress whom we took a photo with and gave her my handmade rose. but finally.. everything would have been not fun if not for the people. cheryl rachel cherie nick weitian! haha. triple date. LOL. alot of exciting experiences la. like running from the front of wisma all the way to the old chang kee at ngee ann. =.= lol.
thoroughly enjoyed it. can be said to be one of the best days so far in 2009.
oh and thanks and apologies to uncle hassan as well for allowing me to leave on time from work ytd to meet up with them! =D

When God Ran

The day I left home I knew I’d broken His heart

Then one night I remembered His love for me
And down that dusty road ahead I could see

And then He ran to me, He took me in His arms
Held my head to His chest, said “My son’s come home again”
Lifted my face, wiped the tears from my eyes
With forgiveness in His voice He said,
“Son do you know I still love you?”
He caught me by surprise as
He brought me to my knees
I saw Him run to me - and i ran to Him

It was spring, but it was summer I wanted,
the warm days, and the great outdoors.

the colorful leaves, and the cool, dry air.

the beautiful snow, and the joy of the holiday season.
I was a child, but it was adulthood I wanted,
the freedom, and the respect.
I was twenty, but it was thirty I wanted,
to be mature, and sophisticated.
I was middle-aged, but it was thirty I wanted,
the youth, and the free spirit.
I was retired, but it was middle-age that I wanted,
the presence of mind, without limitations.
My life was over, but I never got what I wanted.

Happy 2009!
It has been just a day into 2009, but i have made many realizations. It has dawned upon me that today is actually the day where the world no longer takes me as a student, but new adult who has just joined society. Returning from the countdown and gathering in the morning today, boarding the bus and tapping the ez-link card.. hey? it sounds different. no longer the double beeps of a student concession pass, but the single loud beep of an adult ez-link card.. leaving me rather stunned.
I have many dreams which i must realize this year. time will tell. i believe in myself that i will indeed succeed.
Looking forward yet also highly anxious about what this new year will indeed bring. For it is the first year in my life i am no longer a student.

Merry Christmas!
Yes it's Christmas again.
Seems like we celebrate it every year..
Then slowly year by year it becomes less worth celebrating?
No way!
If Christmas EVER feels like a drag, why is it so? Most likely, it is the endless list of parties, gifts to exchange and other gatherings which take place every year that makes us feel that it becomes less and less special. But if we remember the TRUE meaning of Christmas, then we will appreciate the warmth of Christmas each year.
Because it is not santa claus-mas, but CHRISTmas. It was on this day that Jesus Christ was born. Born in a manger to Joseph and Mary in Bethlehem, He became the greatest miracle ever known to mankind.
Happy birthday Jesus! I appreciate all that You've done for me.
